Fairmont Pacific Rim is pleased to announce the return of the Hot Chefs & Cool Jazz gala in support of the Junior Culinary Team Canada, hosted by Fairmont Pacific Rim and Executive Chef Damon Campbell on Friday, April 14, 2023.
“As a former competitor representing Canada at the Culinary Olympics, I am delighted to be hosting this fundraiser alongside an impressive line-up of the city’s most talented chefs,” says Damon Campbell, Executive Chef at Fairmont Pacific Rim. “This event raises funds to support Culinary Junior Team British Columbia travel to the 2023 Culinary Olympics, which is instrumental for nurturing our budding culinarians, and in turn, paving the future of the culinary landscape of British Columbia.”
This year’s festivities will welcome Dawn Chubai, award-winning national TV host, as the Master of Ceremonies. The charitable evening will feature live chef cooking stations with expertly designed dishes created by BC’s top culinary talent, paired with award winning Mission Hill wines, all accompanied with live jazz music.
All proceeds from ticket sales for the event will support Junior Culinary Team Canada and Community Catering Team Canada as they prepare to compete in the 2024 Culinary World Olympics in Stuttgart, Germany – the largest, oldest, and most colourful international exhibition of culinary arts with chefs competing from all over the world. The Gala’s host, Chef Campbell, was team captain for Culinary Team Canada in 2005 and 2006, leading them to gold medal victories at the World Culinary Olympics in Germany.
General Admission tickets are now on sale for $225.00 CAD which includes entry at 7:15pm and access to all chef-attended and wine stations, and $325.00 CAD for VIP tickets, that include early access at 6:30 p.m to the VIP lounge and bar, in addition to exclusive dishes designed by Fairmont Pacific Rim Executive Chef Damon Campbell.
