STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES
Take a breath of fresh fall air at the VanDusen Botanical Garden. Located in the heart of Vancouver, this 55-acre garden features over 7,500 plant species and varieties from around the world. Be sure to bring your camera and explore the blooming heathers, autumn crocus and hydrangeas, or simply unwind in the serene setting and take in the landscapes. Find your way through the Elizabethan hedge maze made up of over 3,000 pyramidal cedars.
WALK THIS WAY
Grab your favourite fall warmer and take to the streets to catch the changing foliage around town. Brilliant shades of yellow, red, and orange decorate the trees and scatter the streets over much of the city. We recommend taking a walk through the West End neighbourhood of Vancouver and continuing through Stanley Park for a truly pacific northwest experience.
BLISS OUT
A trip to the Willow Stream Spa is the perfect way to rejuvenate your summer skin. Surrounded by harbour and mountain views, the spa offers a variety of treatments specializing in relaxation and rejuvenation. For a signature BC treatment, the ‘Coast Mountain Retreat’ body experience uses custom designed products inspired by the West Coast with a hydrating body exfoliation, velvety body butter massage and warm wrap during an Ayurvedic inspired scalp massage and reflexology treatment.
EAT ALL THE TURKEY
Thanksgiving in Canada is a time for Canadians and travelers alike to get together with friends and family (while adhering to current COVID-19 restrictions), traditionally enjoyed over a feast of turkey with all the fixings. For a modern take on the classic, make a reservation at Botanist for a truly unique dining experience. Botanist’s menu depicts the culinary abundance and botany of the Pacific Northwest region—produce rooted from the soil of the northwest, sustainably sourced seafood, and organic agricultural methods from backyard suppliers. Botanist provides the perfect location for your modern Canadian Thanksgiving.
GALLERY GAZE
For rainier days in the city, the Vancouver Art Gallery is the ideal fall activity. The gallery’s collection of over 11,600 artworks includes the work of groundbreaking contemporary artists from around the world, historical art of international significance, and also provides a global platform for British Columbia’s dynamic artistic community, including the work of First Nations artists.
STAY LOCAL

The room offer includes overnight accommodations, complimentary parking and a late check-out, so you’ll have time to soak it all in. Stanley Park and Gastown are a hop, skip and a jump away for those looking to explore the city. Listen to nightly live music from emerging artists in The Lobby Lounge, or shop our favourite brands in-house including Leah Alexandra Jewelry, Celsia Florist, TASHCEN Library and our Willow Stream Spa Boutique.
Travelers note: Fairmont Pacific Rim’s top priority is the safety, security, health and wellbeing of our guests, employees and local British Columbians. Following the announcement made by British Columbia’s Provincial Health Officer mandating proof of vaccination to enter certain businesses in the province to help curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Fairmont Pacific Rim will require proof of vaccination to enter Botanist & Botanist Bar, The Lobby Lounge & RawBar, Willow Stream Spa and our Fairmont Gold Lounge, as well as meetings and events with 50 or more attendees, starting September 13, 2021.
