If you haven’t had the chance to visit us recently, our lobby has been transformed with a musical staircase, feature cocktails, and a discovery centre inspired by music. For the month of September, we celebrate and honour the annual Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon or Mooncake Festival. This traditional festival is typically celebrated over the course of a few days in September by millions of people across East Asia. The festival highlights a celebration of the rice harvest and fruits and ceremonies are held to give thanks and pay respects to the harvest.
In The Lobby Lounge & RawBar, we’ve taken inspiration from this festival and created two feature cocktails. Until the end of September (the 28th to be exact), you are able to enjoy either an “Autumn Festival Martini”, a gyokuro green tea and vodka martini, paired perfectly with martini-infused frozen grapes, or a “Lady and the Moon”, flavours of pink peppercorn, hibiscus, and grapefruit, coupled with pâte à choux, mousse and gin gelée.
During your visit, wander up the musical themed staircase to see first-hand the story of Mid-Autumn, the importance of music, and both its significance to Fairmont Pacific Rim. Marvel over the Fazioli piano and music display that is currently encapsulating our rotating gallery.
Both the signature cocktails and musical display are here for a limited time only, so ensure you’re planning ahead to take advantage of these unique flavours and displays that won’t be around again until next year.
