Get ready to celebrate Canada Day with an array of live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and diverse food options from a variety of food trucks. The day will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display, offering something for everyone to enjoy on this special day.

Explore Canada Place

Canada Together at Canada Place is an event planned collaboratively with representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. The theme for the event is “weaving together the fabric of a nation”, honouring Canada’s diversity and marking Canada Day as a day for gathering, celebrating, learning and sharing. The event will be from 11:00am to 6:00pm with indoor and outdoor spaces including a main stage with live entertainment, a kids’ zone, multi-cultural food trucks, summer sips and Indigenous displays. Visit the Shipyards in North Vancouver

If you are looking to visit the North Shore, hop across the harbour for family-friendly activities at the Shipyards. There will be a splash park in Shipyard Commons where the ice-skating rink is located in the winter, and live music in Shipbuilder’s Square from 11:30am to 4:00pm. At the Pipe Shop, there will be kid-friendly activities as well as youth sports happening on St. Roch Landing. For the adults, there will be a beer garden on Cates Deck. Attend a Show at Kitsilano Showboat

Listen to a series of concerts and live performances at Kitsilano Beach for Canada Day. Kitsilano Showboat shows feature local bands, choirs and other performing arts group. In addition to the shows in the main stage for Canada Day, there will also be activities like ring toss, cupcake eating, juggling and more. Learn more about the Kitsilano Showboat here.

Partake in the Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival

In celebration of Taiwanese and Canadian artists in Vancouver, the sixth annual Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival will take place in downtown Vancouver for Canada Day weekend. The festival will feature performances, exhibitions and workshops from around 20 performing groups from both Canada and Taiwan. Learn more about the festival here.

Watch Fireworks

What’s a celebration without fireworks? Below are three neighbourhoods you can visit that will have spectacular fireworks displays on Canada Day.

Canada Day StreetFest on Central Park in Burnaby

Canada Day in Burnaby will be filled with fun events and activities to commemorate the occasion beginning at 6:30pm. There will be celebrations at Edmonds Plaza and Park and Burnaby Village Museum throughout the day. Additionally, fireworks in Central Park will mark the end of the festivities. StreetFest on Central will feature a family zone at Civic Square, all-ages activities along Central Boulevard, food vendors, a beer garden, and free live performances in Central Park.

 Surrey Canada Day

The annual Canada Day event in the City of Surrey will feature a vast concert lineup, food trucks and fireworks. The event will be at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre starting at 10am, and there will be an opportunity to learn about the land we live on and the history of Canada.

Canada Day in White Rock

Enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day by the Bay at Memorial Park and West Beach in White Rock. Starting at 12pm, there will be a kids’ zone, a vendor marketplace, live music and a finale of fireworks to conclude the evening.
