Spring into Wellness

February 26th, 2024

The days are becoming longer, the flowers are starting to bloom, and spring in Vancouver is just around the corner! With the change in season fast approaching, one thing that remains constant is the focus on wellness. Fairmont Pacific Rim is excited to announce our inaugural Wellness Weekend retreat happening from April 5 to 7. Below, you will find all the different activities and experiences that will be available at the retreat to help you discover a renewed version of yourself.

Rejuvenating Activities by Industry Experts

We have collaborated with local wellness experts to curate a unique weekend that rejuvenates the mind, body, and soul.

Health and Wellness Talk with Dr. Jason Marr

Dr. Marr is the Founder, Owner and Director of Evoke Integrative Medicine, and your next Personal Performance & Productivity Coach. He will be speaking on a 90-minute presentation on critical wellness topics such as urban resilience and the difference between diet and nutrition.

Urban Resilience

In this engaging and empowering presentation, Dr. Marr will explore the history and pitfalls of the “work-hard, play-hard culture” that we have enabled, and provide the keys to success in maximizing performance and productivity despite the challenges of our fast-paced and complicated world. To combat these issues, we need new strategies for maximizing our energy and productivity levels while also building resilience to stress.

Difference of Diet and Nutrition

Your ‘healthy’ diet could be causing stress, fatigue, and burnout. Just because you’re eating food doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting the right nutrition. Dr. Marr will explain the difference between diet and nutrition, and provide you with practical tools to become stronger, smarter, and healthier through simple diet and lifestyle hacks.

Morning Yoga with Ryan Leier

Ryan Leier is a dynamic and inspiring yoga instructor, who brings his unique energy and knowledge to every class he teaches. He will be teaching a morning yoga class on Saturday, April 6. Whether he is teaching at his own One Yoga studios or spreading the word of yoga to communities around the world, his expression of this ancient and vital tradition never fails to touch people’s hearts.

Meditation with Hannah Todd

As a yoga instructor, meditation mentor and co-founder of the successful swimwear startup, Londre Bodywear, Hannah Todd has had to navigate many unchartered waters. After 5 years in a hyper-growth business, she hit a burnout. But through those wavy times and unexpected outcomes, she rediscovered how to harness the strength of meditation to tap into the superpower we all carry within us—surrender.

Hannah will be instructing guests on meditation and breathwork on Sunday, April 7.

Sound Bathing Class with Sandy Pandher

Sandy Pandher is an Intuitive Reiki Practitioner who specializes in helping her clients regulate their nervous system. She offers tools to regulate the body, heart, and mind, unlocking their true potential and reaching their desired state. Her sessions are designed to be safe and secure, ensuring the client’s comfort throughout the process. Sandy will be guiding us through a 70-minute sound bath and Reiki experience on Sunday morning, allowing the body to relax completely.
