Forbes Travel Guide has unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming Fairmont Pacific Rim as a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel. This is the third year the hotel has received the Five Star recognition, and is the only city-centre Fairmont hotel in North America to receive this esteemed honour. Forbes Travel Guide is the only independent, global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. Their anonymous professional inspectors travel the world to assess hotels, restaurants, and spas based on 900 objective standards. Fairmont Pacific Rim was recognized for the wide-ranging art collection, panoramic views of Coal Harbour from the Signature Ofuro Rooms, rooftop pool and hot tub, award-winning restaurants, craft cocktails and more.
Willow Stream Spa at Fairmont Pacific Rim was also rated a Four Star Spa for 2021 for the expansive terrace, west coast inspired signature treatments and bento box lunches. Read the full profile here.
The 63rd annual list features 283 Five-Star, 576 Four-Star and 438 Recommended hotels; 73 Five-Star, 136 Four-Star and 77 Recommended restaurants; and 90 Five-Star and 200 Four-Star spas worldwide. (The winners were surveyed both before the pandemic and once regional restrictions allowed FTG’s incognito evaluators to visit.) Even in the midst of a global pandemic, service remains paramount. It’s more important than ever before that properties demonstrate the utmost regard for their guests’ wellbeing: 75 percent of a hotel’s rating is based on its service and genuine care and concern shown by the staff, while 25 percent is determined by the quality of its facilities.
