Buy a Cocktail, Give a Meal

Jeff Savage, Botanist Bar’s Head Bartender, is pairing up with Save On Meats and Ketel One to provide free meals to marginalized and at-risk members of our community who often go unseen. His cocktail, ‘Cold Hands, Warm Hearts’, is a riff on a moscow mule that re-purposes scrap herbs and citrus that might otherwise be wasted, and comes garnished with a Save On Meats token.

August 23rd, 2019

The Save On Meats token program was created to give back to those in need, through the purchase of a $2.25 token that is redeemable for a sandwich inside the diner. Since 2012, the program has served up over 2,000,000 delicious meals to residents in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. For more information about the Token Program, visit or @fatherofcups on instagram.
