Vancouver, Canada (April 24, 2024) – Botanist Bar, tucked inside Vancouver’s definitive Five-Star Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel, was recognized for the second consecutive year by the global authority for the world’s best cocktail experience, ranking the 24 best bar in North America for the 3rd annual North America’s 50 Best Bars Awards ceremony on Tuesday evening in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Botanist Bar, led under the guidance of Creative Beverage Director Grant Sceney, is located in the award-winning Botanist Restaurant. Inspired by the principles of botany, Botanist Bar celebrates the Pacific Northwest’s unique biodiversity in its approach; culinary-forward cocktails blend the union of science and nature together to deliver a sophisticated yet whimsical drinking experience.

The 2024 ranking is reflective of the best bar experiences collated by a group of 250 anonymous voters, made up of cocktail experts, educators, authors, journalists, bartenders, and bar owners from across North America. For this vote, the continent is divided into seven regions: Canada East; Canada West; USA Northeast; USA Midwest; USA West; USA South; Mexico and the Caribbean.
Botanist is set to celebrate this esteemed recognition by hosting The Clumsies, ranked No.47 on the World’s 50 Best Bars list in 2023, for a collaborative cocktail experience on May 15 and 16 in Vancouver, their latest in an ongoing series of guest collaborations with world-renowned bars. On Wednesday, May 15, Botanist Executive Chef Hector Laguna will design a six-course Mediterranean-inspired tasting menu, paired with a cocktail menu developed by Sceney and The Clumsies team. Tickets, priced at $245 CAD ++ per person, are now available and can be purchased online.
On May 16, The Clumsies’ Bar Manager, Nick Sourmpatis, and bartender Georgopoulos Lefteris will lead an informative discussion on the current global trends facing the cocktail and spirit industry in the Botanist Garden, followed by a four-course tasting menu with cocktail pairings by both teams at Botanist Bar. Tickets, priced at $168 CAD ++ per person, are now available and can be purchased online.
